I believe the most powerful image from the slideshow is:
The reason i believe this is the most powerful image is because the emotion it shows, moreover it's heartfelt. Many others can probably relate to how they felt, in addition, this photo shows their affection to one another as true brothers. Their emotion is pouring out, while the captions lets us know how he truly cares about his friends deeply and his sense of patriotism.
B.
Set #2 was the most powerful images throughout the slideshow because it shows you the hardship of becoming a soldier. Ian Fisher gave up just as fast as he then afterwards made the decision to finish his training. While in training, it shows how much he misses his home with everyone he loves, but he didn't give up just because of that, he also loves his country enough to stay at training to serve for it.

The pictures shows us a story of when Ian Fisher decided to fight for his country. It starts off with saying goodbyes to the people he loves then off he goes to training. He then faces the hardship of training and had to rethink his decision. Later on the slideshow it shows that Ian is making an effort and doing his best, which lets us know that he stayed with his goal. Not only does the slideshow show us how he tries to accomplish his goal,but his problems that goes with being send off to a faraway area. In the end,everything worked out. Throughout the slideshow, every single image continues the story,one after another.

Ian makes a late night phone call to his parents inside the training camp building to tell them his frustrations so far. He then started rethinking of his choice to be there as he talked to his parents about what to do while no one was around him.

Ian hugs his father as he comes home from the airport for a short break from training. He greeted everyone that came to the airport while embracing his dad and said, "It felt good to be back home with everyone".

Ian hugs his close friends as he's about to leave for Iraq tomorrow morning. He talked to them about his plans in his bedroom and told them, "I wouldn't have had come this far if it weren't for you guys".

In videos, It's easier to tell a story since it plays by itself till the finish while giving it a background sound to connect with the emotions the story is telling us.

Photo's let you look at the image for however long you want to, by having all the time you need, it lets you see every single detail on the picture.
